Snippets About Me
Welcome to my website. Good of you to stop by. Allow me to introduce myself. My name is David Kunle Agunbiade—known to many as DKA.
I am an author, cutting my teeth in fictional writing in 2020, with a self-published short story titled The Trolley, an e-book currently available at Amazon and Okadabooks. My very first full length novel titled Gods of Men is currently in the works. It promises to be a riveting read.
Poetry happens to be another great passion of mine, which I both love to write and recite to an audience. The maiden edition of my foray into what we in the business describe as the Spoken Word, was held on the 1st of May, 2023, in Lagos, Nigeria. A few poems were read to an appreciative audience from my yet-to-be-published collection of poems titled, Polemics of a Latecomer: A Compendium of Contemporary African Poetry.
Clearly, I love to write, with academia ranking a very close second on my list of burning passions. This rather late yet great love, nonetheless, has produced a degree in Law, postgraduate degrees in International Human Rights Law and Creative Writing with Publishing – all three degrees from the University of Derby, UK. And what I proudly describe as the icing on my academic cake, is my ongoing PhD studies in Creative and Critical Writing at the University of Greenwich. Once concluded, I simply can’t imagine many things more exciting than imparting knowledge to the upcoming generations of writers.
I currently reside with my family in Nottingham, UK.
